#001 - Viacom / Govt. Go to Far

Now here I go, I have been watching tons of videos tearing apart Viacom for getting all of YouTube's stored personal data of every user one the website. This would give Viacom to see all of our IP address, but Google fought back and made it so IPs addresses did not need to be displayed (Note: Not even Youtube's highest ranked employees don't see this info). Still though Viacoms invegators (Professionals - In what... I don't know) will be able to see our usernames, email adresses, all of our past viewed videos, and our names. Now this is may not seem like a big deal but it is. Even though they will not be getting our IP addresses they will still be viewing private data that no one is aloud to see!

Its simple, what judge has done is violate the Digital Millenium Copyright Act by involving the users in this. Yes they involved us by getting our browsing history (Yes, we're mad).

What's DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law which implements two 1996 WIPO treaties. It criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services that are used to circumvent measures that control access to copyrighted works (commonly known as DRM) and criminalizes the act of circumventing an access control, whether or not there is actual infringement of copyright itself. It also heightens the penalties for copyright infringement on the Internet. Passed on October 12, 1998 by a unanimous vote in the United States Senate and signed into law by President Bill Clinton on October 28, 1998, the DMCA amended title 17 of the U.S. Code to extend the reach of copyright, while limiting the liability of Online Providers from copyright infringement by their users.
